Someone broke the husband

Someone broke the husband,

He’s lying on the floor,

I thought that he was working fine

But now I’m not so sure

Someone broke the husband,

He doesn’t make a sound,

He used to share his thoughts with me,

But now they can’t be found

Someone broke the husband,

That kind and caring face,

Is creased and crimped with anxious lines,

Bad temper in its place

Someone broke the husband,

I’m sure I don’t know why,

I ask him what he did today,

And all he does is cry

Someone broke the husband,

Each day is hard to take,

The doctor said he can’t be fixed,

It must be some mistake

Something broke my husband,

But no one was to blame,

He never meant to disappear,

But he did it all the same

Something broke my husband,

But I hold onto the dreams,

That they’ll stick us back together one day,

And you won’t even see the seams
