Favourite album? Its hard to choose!

What’s your all-time favorite album?

So many contenders for this. I mentioned previously that I have pretty eclectic taste when it comes to music and there are so many great albums out there.

Here’s some of the ones I listen to a lot.

Divine Comedy – Fin de siecle

It’s a great orchestral album. The musicianship is superb. National Express is a great singalong tune.

Radiohead -The Bends

Now I know lots of people cite OK computer but I do prefer the guitar anthems and range on this album. It stands the test of time. Probably harks back to my childhood but there you go.

Poison – Flesh and blood

Again I think I listened to this for a whole summer. Soaring guitars, cheesy love anthems. Its over the top and it’s really really great.

Red hot chili peppers – Blood sugar sex magic

I think this is probably a bit dated now particularly given some of the misogyny in the lyrics but still believe musically this was one of their best and saw John Frusciante coming into his own as one of the world’s greatest guitarists.

But my favourite?

Fleetwood Mac – Rumours

Every songs a banger. That’s it. The story behind the songs at that time adds colour to the lyrics but this was great musicians doing great stuff at the right time. It still sounds fresh and new to this day.

Thanks for reading. If you like what I write why not try one of my short stories or other articles on my blog?
